Zongshen Motorcycle Racing Team of China---a motorcycle racing team undertaking the mission of the nation

 

On May 18, 1999, Zongshen Motorcycle Racing Team of China declared its founding in Beijing, marking the birth of China¡¯s first professional motorcycle racing team and starting a new history for China¡¯s motorcycling. In the same year, Zongshen Motorcycle Racing Team of China started its journey in Motorcycle Endurance World Championship and was ranked 14 in the Bordraux championship ended in September, which hit a historical record and also led to the first recording of a Chinese racing team in FIM¡¯s yearbook. Their nice performance overwhelmed all persons of FIM and was appraised by the foreign media as the wakening of China in the mechanical motion field. It greatly reflected the achievement during China¡¯s reforming and opening-up, as well as China¡¯s economic prosperity and highly developed social civilization.

 

 

In 2000 and 2001, Zongshen Motorcycle Racing Team of China has made greater achievements. On Aug. 5^th, 2001, the day which was unforgettable, Zongshen Motorcycle Racing Team of China won the Motorcycle Endurance World Championship in Suzuka, Japan, which marked the greatest achievement made by a Chinese racing team in the world¡¯s motorcycling. In the same year, Zongshen Motorcycle Racing Team of China won the year¡¯s third prize in the Motorcycle Endurance World Championship. The excellent performance of Zongshen racing team was recognized by FIM, and for two consecutive years, Zongshen Motorcycle Racing Team of China was titled by FIM one of the world¡¯s top ten motorcycle racing team. This was the ultimate glory earned by Zongshen racers for China in the world¡¯s motorcycling field.

 

In 2002, Zongshen Motorcycle Racing Team of China invincibly won the year¡¯s championship in the Motorcycle Endurance World Championship, the highest glory in the world¡¯s motorcycling field. This marked the birth of a first Chinese champion team in the world¡¯s motorcycling. It was a task accomplished by Zongshen athletes beyond the expectation of Chinese people. The rise of China, the largest country in the east, in the mechanical motion field well demonstrated its great power.

 

Zongshen Motorcycle Racing Team of China, invincible in the international practice, exhibits its overwhelming power in the national practice. From 2003 to 2009, Zongshen racing team had participated in CRRC and CSBK, winning 125 substation championships and 29 year¡¯s championships, being seven years¡¯ champion in the race courses in China and renowned by CCTV as China¡¯s best motorcycle racing team.

 

With rich experienced in international practice and outstanding performances, Zongshen Motorcycle Racing Team of China was given a loftier duty by its own country, i.e. upon the approval of China Motorcycle Sport Association, to present itself in the Asia Road Racing Championship on behalf of China. From then on, Zongshen Motorcycle Racing Team has developed itself from a factory-based racing team into a national racing team. In 2008 and 2009, Zongshen Motorcycle Racing Team won the year¡¯s third prizes in the ARRC, winning glories for China.

 

Zongshen Motorcycle Racing Team of China, with its long-term presence in international race courses and great achievements, holds the flag in China¡¯s motorcycling and truly represents China¡¯s motorcycling. It is an unprecedented racing team in the history of China¡¯s motorcycling.
